Storm Shelters
Do you need a storm shelter installed at home for protection during storms in Calhoun? We manufacture and install concrete shelters for your family’s safety. These can be built above ground or below ground.
If the shelter is belowground, we will build it to allow for your specified head clearance, with steel stairs and handrails to get inside. A steel door will be placed on the outside, along with a fresh-air vent. The aboveground storm shelters are built largely in the same manner as the belowground storm shelters. Both will be built to your custom specifications (occupancy and head clearance). The steel door will use either 14- or 12-gauge steel for protection. An air vent will be installed for fresh air and as a conduit for electrical purposes.
